The "Barra Classic" is held each year in Australia's Northern Territory. Fished on the Daly River, this tournament is widely considered to be the best in Barra fishing, bringing together some of Australia's most experienced and well known Barra fishermen.
The elusive "Barra on a stick" trophy is hotly contested by teams consisting of 3 boat-based anglers, all of whom do their best to land more and bigger Barra than the next team.
The tournament is scored on a length/points basis, with all fish being and measured, tagged and then released. This provides for a fantastic opportunity to research the fishing in the area, as well as have some serious fun.
